Lester Wheeler is the Deputy Director of Community Emergency Response Training in Oklahoma City and he will be providing you with information about the types of hazards you can expect, how to recognize and contain potential problems and how to prepare for these hazards.

Dr. Michael Richards, Director of the Center for Disaster Medicine at the University of New Mexico will explain to you the importance of being physically fit and prepared to be a volunteer.  He will be presenting the importance of having a personal response plan, the personal gear you will need to be a prepared volunteer, the medical screening you should consider and immunizations necessary to protect your health.
